Volleyball Substitutions
Volleyball substitutions allow coaches to enter players into the game for strategic purposes. There is a limit to the number of substitutions (18), and a player can only re-enter a game at the position she was in when she was substituted for in the first place. 57. T F Substitutions take place along the side line between the attack line and the center line. 58. T F The coach is allowed to stand briefly to signal a substitution request. 59. T F Substitutions may be made during a time out. 60. T F A team attempting a 19th substitution during a game is charged with a time out for delay of game. If both time outs have been used by the offending team, then point or loss of rally/point is awarded to the opposing team.
